New York State Fairgrounds - Syracuse, NY

FabSite’s scope of work at the New York State Fairgrounds involved the site development for the construction of three new livestock facilities. Key project deliverables included: Precise excavation and backfilling for structural foundations and footings. Installation of complete utility networks, including domestic water service, a robust stormwater management system, and sanitary sewer lines. Fine grading for asphalt roadway sub-bases and building floor sub grade. Final topsoil placement and hydroseeding to establish sustainable vegetation across all disturbed areas.

Cicero Cottages Administration Building - Cicero, NY

FabSite provided full-service site development and civil infrastructure for the Cicero Cottages Administration Building. The scope of work included: Structural Earthworks: Precise excavation and engineered backfill for the building’s primary foundation and footings.

Comprehensive Utility Integration: Installation of a complete wet utility network, including sanitary sewer mains, domestic water service, and a dedicated stormwater management system. Dry Utility Support: Specialized trenching and excavation for the primary electrical service entry. Precision Sub-Grade Preparation: Final grading of the building interior floor slab area and the expansive parking lot to ensure optimal drainage and structural integrity for final paving.

Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse NY

FabSite provided site preparation and civil infrastructure services for the expansion of Woodlawn Cemetery. Our scope of work focused on the foundational and utility requirements for a new mausoleum facility, including: Managed precision excavation and engineered backfill for the mausoleum’s structural foundation, ensuring long-term stability. Installed a complete utility network, including a new domestic water service, a dedicated septic system, and specialized trenching for electrical service conduits. Constructed a comprehensive stormwater management system, featuring the excavation and shaping of retention ponds to ensure proper site drainage. Performed final sub-grade preparation for pedestrian walkways, driving lanes, and landscape areas to ensure seamless integration with the existing grounds.

Upstate Medical Hospital, Emergency Room, Syracuse, NY

FabSite executed a complex site renovation and structural preparation contract at Upstate Hospital. A primary project requirement was the maintenance of uninterrupted access to the Emergency Room; FabSite successfully managed all phases of construction while ensuring the ER remained fully operational 24/7. our scope of work included: Full-depth removal of existing asphalt surfacing and sub-base. Installation of an advanced drainage network, featuring high-capacity trench drains to optimize surface runoff. Precision excavation for deep foundational piers and the installation of a structural retaining wall for site stabilization. Regrading of the parking facility to establish precise elevations and drainage slopes for new asphalt paving.

Fairmount Fire Department Training Facility - Syracuse, NY

The Fairmount Fire Department contracted Fab Site to design-build a site to fulfill their fire training needs. The field was transformed into a 150,000 square foot training facility where accessibility for numerous fire trucks at one time was a necessity. In the design-build stage of the project it was essential that every square foot of the project would hold the weight of a fully loaded fire truck, this is why over 7,000 ton of stone was imported. The state-of-the-art training facility incorporates a 2.5 story class a burn tower, flash over simulator, vehicle burn pads and a vehicle extrication pad.

GPO FCU - Rome, NY

This project consisted of two phases, the first being a complete demolition and the second being earthwork. The demolition involved several buildings along with residential houses with full basements that were all within a very tight area. Next, the earthwork was comprised of a stormwater system in which detention ponds were created to filter stormwater within the site. It also included new connections to existing sanitary and water mains in order for the new building to function properly. The credit union encompasses a 3,000 square foot building that includes a state-of-the-art drive-though ATM.

McDonald's - Mansfield, PA

FabSite Industries worked for Mulvey Construction Inc. for the duration of this project, it consisted of demolishing the existing McDonalds in which embodied a full basement. The building and basement were demolished and then filled with 10 feet of structural fill. This important task was checked vigorously by geotechnical engineers due to the fact that the new building was being constructed in the same spot with no basement. FabSite then completed an entire site package for the construction of the new McDonald’s which incorporated foundation construction, grading and paving of new parking lots and sidewalks, as well as a full concrete drive-thru. The site development also included a new sanitary system, storm system and water lines for both fire and domestic use. The waterline incorporated a 60’ horizontal bore under a main road which allowed McDonald’s to incorporate a fire sprinkler system as well as the town to further extend their main waterline.

Monarch Solar Farm - Upper Marlboro, MD

FabSite’s role in this project integrated mass excavation, site grading, and road construction. An old 15 acre pasture with steep grade changes was transformed into a solar farm where over 23,000 cubic yards of dirt were moved. This project was comprised of several pieces of equipment in which GPS was utilized to complete the project on a timeframe much faster than the owner had anticipated.
